Location: York
Price: $24,000 Negotiable

This 1976 Datsun 280Z is finished in light metallic blue over black upholstery and was purchased new by the seller at Eisenhauer Datsun in Wernersville, Pennsylvania. It was optioned with air conditioning and has reportedly been garaged and covered throughout its life. The car now shows 44,600 miles and is powered by its factory 2.8-liter inline-six, which is paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. According to the seller, modifications are limited to H4 headlights, Bosch driving lights, and stainless steel brake lines. This one-owner 280Z is now offered with its window sticker, factory books, a service manual, spare parts, a car cover and front bra, and a clean Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.

According to the seller, this 280Z retains factory paint aside from the cowl around the windshield wipers, which previously developed rust spots and was replaced with a new piece. A ~6″ scratch is noted on the driver-side lower front fascia. The seller reports that the car has had Pennsylvania historic license plates since 2005.

This 280Z retains its factory bumpers and 14″ wheel covers. A set of Goodyear Allegra tires is currently mounted, and stainless steel brake lines have been added.

The seller states that the seats, carpets, and headliner are original. A small tear is present on the bottom rear of the driver’s door panel from the seat belt buckle hitting it over the years. The dashboard shows two smaller flaws where a radar detector was previously mounted with Velcro.

Original equipment includes an AM/FM radio and air conditioning, though the latter is said to blow cool rather than cold. The temperature and oil pressure gauges are sluggish, the fuel gauge needle fluctuates, and the heater control valve is currently stuck in the closed position.

Just over 44,600 miles have been added by the seller over the last 43 yers.

The 2.8-liter inline-six is the original engine according to the seller, who has maintained this car himself since new. The oil and filter were reportedly changed annually, and tune-ups were completed about every 15k miles. The radiator has been boiled out and re-cored, and in May 2019 the car received new spark plugs, wires, a distributor cap, rotor, fuel filter, oil pressure sender, and an oil change.

Additional underside photos are displayed in the gallery, along with photos of the rockers.

The original window sticker, factory service manual, and factory books accompany the sale. Some spare parts for servicing are also included as depicted in the gallery.
