This 1976 Porsche 930 Turbo Carrera is finished in Platinum Metallic over Cinnamon leatherette with Turbo graphics. It carries VIN 9306800035 and was sold new by Alpine Porsche Audi in Colorado Springs, then traded back in during 1977 with just 12k miles. The seller’s father purchased the car shortly thereafter, and has added 87k miles over the last 41 years. Now showing 99,407 total miles, this Turbo has been kept in Colorado from new, and is reportedly stock aside from one known repaint, a JVC CD player, Super Snooper radar detector, aluminum interior accents, and an aftermarket shift knob. The original Blaupunkt radio, interior trim pieces, and new clutch/brake pedal covers are included. Power comes from a turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six paired to a 4-speed manual gearbox, both of which are original according to the seller. This Porsche is now being offered with partial service records since the 1990s, a Certificate of Authenticity, factory manuals, the OEM spare/jack, and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s father’s name.
A factory-correct Platinum Metallic repaint with Turbo graphics was professionally completed in 1995, after the seller’s father slid the car into a chain link fence. The damage was reportedly limited to paint scratches, and all of the original body panels were retained to the seller’s knowledge. Note the early-style wing unique to the 930 Turbo Carrera.
This 930 has been garaged by the seller’s father for the past 41 years. The Fuchs alloy wheels display some flaws in the photo gallery, and the car retains its OEM suspension system according to the seller.
This particular car came factory-equipped with a sunroof and air conditioning. The cinnamon leatherette upholstery appears to be free of rips or tears. As shown in the photo gallery, the passenger-side dashboard material is loose, though a dash mat is included.
Interior modifications consist of a vintage Super Snooper radar detector, JVC CD player, an aftermarket wood shift knob, Rennline aluminum pedal set, and aluminum accents on the door pins, door pulls, and ignition key round. The original Blaupunkt radio, interior trim pieces, and new clutch/brake pedal covers are included. The odometer currently displays 99,407 miles which is correct based on 41 years of ownership, included records, and known history from new.
The turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six and 4-speed gearbox are stock to the seller’s knowledge. Both are claimed to be original to the car, however the transmission number cannot be verified as the seller’s father tracked his mileage for business, and installed a trip meter which required modification to the transmission case. The car has been primarily stored over the past five years and driven sparingly, though it is started on a regular basis and kept on a battery tender.
Porsche of Colorado Springs recently inspected the car and stated that the engine and transmission are leaking, though no repairs were recommended at this time. The seller states that the starter grinds intermittently, and additional undercarriage pictures are displayed in the photo gallery below.
A Porsche Certificate of Authenticity accompanies the sale. It shows a production completion date of November 1975, and also confirms the original engine number, colors, and options. The transmission number is not supplied. Filed under: 911, 911 turbo, 930, 930 turbo
