1976 Datsun 280Z PrivateCars - Oakland Park - 14 views
This 1976 Datsun 280Z is described as a lifetime San Francisco Bay Area car that was purchased by the selling dealer from the original owner’s estate around six months ago. Bought new from Delta Datsun in Pittsburg, California and showing 56,893 miles, the car is said to retain factory paint, panels, and L28 2.8-liter inline-six paired to a 4-speed manual transmission. This 280Z is now being offered with its factory owner’s manual and service booklet, jack, toolkit, two sets of keys, and a clean original ‘small’ California title in the prior owner’s name.
After acquiring the car, the seller took it to Alameda Collision Repair and had their body shop owner run a paint meter and magnet around the entire vehicle. The inspection reportedly verified that it retains all of its factory finish with no evidence of accidents or body filler found. The power antenna does not retract and a pair of door dings are shown above. Note the original dealer frames and blue license plates in the photo gallery below.
Inside, the seller states that the upholstery, carpets, and trim are all original and nicely preserved.
The odometer currently shows 56,893 miles and is believed to be accurate. The claimed-original jack and toolkit remain in the trunk.
The L28 2.8 liter inline six-cylinder engine is paired to a 4-speed manual transmission and is unmodified according to the seller. The most recent California smog check was completed in February 2017.
Included documentation consists of the original owner’s manual and guarantee/service booklet that contains matching VINs, the engine number, original owner’s name and address, and the name and address of the dealer that sold the car new. The title is the original ‘small’ version still in the only owner’s name, and two sets of keys are also included.
