This 1976 Cadillac Eldorado convertible reportedly was sold new in Beverly Hills, California and moved to Vermont by its original owner. The seller acquired the car in May 2019 out of Florida and has driven it 150 of its indicated 6k miles since shipping the car to California. Power comes from a 500ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and the red paintwork is complemented by a white soft top and matching white leather interior. The oil is said to have been changed 200 miles ago. This ninth-generation Eldorado is now offered in California with an owner’s manual, a two-volume 1976 Cadillac shop manual, factory literature, and a Montana title in the seller’s name.
The exterior is finished in Firethorn Metallic (36) with a white soft top. The seller states that the bumper fillers at all four corners have been replaced with plastic units and refinished to match the body. The paintwork and exterior trim are shown in detail in the photo gallery below alongside the Fisher trim tag.
15″ steel wheels wear Cadillac hubcaps and 235/75 American Classic whitewall tires that show 2013 date codes. 1976 was the first year that four-wheel disc brakes came standard on the Eldorado.
The interior features white leather upholstery with faux-wood trim that extends from the dashboard around to the door panels and back to the rear corners of the passenger compartment. The front seats are equipped with headrests and fold forward for access to the rear, and the passenger seat is power-adjustable. The red carpeting is fitted with red floor mats, which are covered in plastic front and rear. Equipment includes power locks and windows, and the seller notes that the cruise-control switch is inoperable.
A red three-spoke steering wheel with woodgrain trim sits ahead of a column shifter and a dashboard with a red cover, an AM/FM radio, and climate controls. Instrumentation includes a horizontal 100-mph speedometer with a five-digit odometer that shows just over 6,200 miles, approximately 150 of which reportedly were added by the seller.
The 500ci V8 was factory rated at 190 horsepower at 3,600 rpm and 360 lb-ft of torque at 2,000 rpm when new. Power is delivered to the front wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Service is said to have included an oil change 200 miles ago.
