1975 Porsche 911 Carrera PrivateCars - Portland - 3 views
This Porsche 911 is said to be the 19th of 395 US-market Carrera coupes produced for the 1975 model year, and reportedly spent 34 years with a previous owner in Georgia until being relocated to California and finally Oregon when acquired by its current owner in 2019. The car is finished in Ice Green Metallic over a black interior, and power is provided by an air-cooled, fuel-injected 2.7L flat-six mated to a five-speed manual transaxle. The fuel delivery system was overhauled and the Fuchs wheels refinished by the selling dealer in preparation for the sale. This 911 is offered with manufacturer’s literature, records from the 2020 service, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean Oregon title.
The car was finished in Ice Green Metallic (250) from the factory, and wears an older repaint according to the selling dealer. Details include a small-grille Carrera spoiler, black lower door scripts, and US-market bumpers with rear overrider blocks. Close-up photos of the finish and trim in the gallery below show chips on the forward bodywork and single mirror.
The 15″ Fuchs wheels were refinished in black with polished lips and new lug nuts by the selling dealer, and wear 2017 date-coded Sumitomo HTR A/S P02 tires measuring 205/60 up front and 215/60 out back. The brakes are said to have been serviced in 2018. Red Koni dampers are fitted at all four corners.
The cabin is upholstered in black with matching carpets and Porsche-script floor mats. Factory equipment includes power windows and an optional electric sunroof. The headliner and trunk carpets were replaced in 1985, and a short shifter was installed in 1988 according to the selling dealer. An Alpine tape deck is fitted in the factory location, and aftermarket speakers have been added to the doors.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline flanked by a 150-mph speedometer, a clock, and a pair of combination gauges. Approximately 16k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer, which the selling dealer states has rolled over.
The fuel-injected 2.7-liter flat-six was factory-rated at 165 horsepower with 167 lb-ft of torque for the US market. The selling dealer reports that Carrera timing chain tensioners were installed in 1989, an engine rebuild and clutch replacement were undertaken in 1992, and valve and timing adjustments were performed in 2016.
Engine number 6450163 corresponds to that listed on the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. A rebuilt CIS regulator was reportedly installed in 2018 along with a replacement fuel tank and lines, while the fuel distributor was rebuilt and a new pump, injectors, and filter were fitted in preparation for sale. The engine bay sound insulation was also replaced in 2020.
A stainless steel muffler and heat exchangers were installed in 1990 according to the selling dealer. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.
