1965 Land Rover 109 Series IIA PrivateCars - Amboise - 40 views
This 1965 Land Rover 109 Series IIA was part of a private collection with the previous Oregon-based owner, who had it refurbished to nice driver quality condition. The 2.25 liter inline-four is paired to a 4-speed manual and was rebuilt along with the brakes during the refresh. The truck was also repainted in green and received an undercoating. It was acquired by the selling dealer about a year ago and has been driven about 300 miles since. This Rover is said to run well thanks to a recent carburetor rebuild. It is located in Boise, Idaho and sold with an Oregon title.
The repaint shows a consistent finish in the provided pictures. The seller does not believe any filler is present and notes that all of the rivets are visible and consistent. Some removable vinyl decals have been added on the front fenders and front valence. The KTM dirt bike is not included.
The trim, glass, and weatherstripping all look to be in good condition. The bed floor is protected by a removable rubber mat.
This 1965 Series IIA comes from the midpoint of production, which spanned from 1961 to 1971. Later models received fender-mounted headlights.
The interior features original-type vinyl seats, and all of the instruments are working correctly apart from the oil temperature gauge. The repainted surfaces appear to retain a nice finish, and the truck is equipped with a heater. The five-digit odometer shows 11,500 miles and has likely rolled at least once.
The gasoline 2.25 liter inline-four produced 72 horsepower when new. The drivetrain and brakes were rebuilt during the refurbishment, and the carburetor was rebuilt in the fall of 2016. The truck is said to run and drive well up to 55 mph, and the fluids were all changed in the summer of 2016.
The truck is equipped with a 4-speed manual and the 4wd is said to engage smoothly. A number of lift shots have been provided, and an undercoating was applied during the refresh.
